Encryption protects opening the file. Copying, printing and editing restrictions depend on the reader; they do not prevent screenshots or all extraction.

AES-256 encryption. The export is tested to require a password and reopen with your new password. Page count is checked after export. Existing digital signatures are invalidated by rewriting. Passwords are cleared after success or file replacement and are never included in presets.
